About Channel View Park
A Hidden Waterside Retreat
Tucked alongside the Los Cerritos Channel in Long Beach, Channel View Park spans a modest 5.28 acres of tranquil green space. This little oasis sits between 7th Street and Loynes Drive, making it easily accessible whether you're a local or just passing through. This simple neighborhood pocket park is appreciated by many Long Beach residents.
Take a Stroll, Stay Awhile
The park's winding walking path is well-suited for those morning jogs or evening walks when you need to clear your head. As you follow the trail, you'll catch glimpses of the channel that gives this park its name - a nice change of scenery from typical city views.
If you're visiting with little ones, there's a small playground where they can burn off some energy. The open grassy areas provide plenty of space to throw a frisbee, practice yoga, or simply spread out a blanket for a casual picnic under the California sun.
ADQueen Mary General Admission Self-Guided Experience
Step aboard the legendary Queen Mary in Long Beach and discover one of the world’s most famous ocean liners. From her glamorous Art Deco design and rich maritime history to thrilling haunted encounters and unforgettable tours, the Queen Mary offers something for everyone.
Nature in the City
One of the coolest things about Channel View Park is the chance to spot sea lions swimming in the channel. There's something special about witnessing these playful creatures in their natural habitat while standing in the middle of urban Long Beach.
The waterside setting creates a microenvironment that attracts various plants and animals, adding to the ecological diversity within the city.
Bringing Fido Along
Your four-legged friends are welcome at Channel View Park, but you'll need to keep them leashed at all times. The open areas give them plenty of room to sniff around and explore while you enjoy your time outdoors.
Freshly Updated
In 2021, the park received some nice upgrades to enhance the visitor experience. These improvements were part of Long Beach's broader efforts to create more quality outdoor spaces for community use.

Natural Charm
What makes Channel View Park special is its unassuming simplicity. The combination of urban park amenities with the natural charm of the Los Cerritos Channel creates a relaxing environment where you can reconnect with nature without leaving the city.
The green space offers a pleasant spot to unwind while also serving as habitat for local flora and fauna.
