McBride Park is a 2.5-acre community park located in Long Beach, California. The park is named after Ernest S. McBride Sr., a prominent Long Beach civil rights activist and community leader who fought for improved working conditions and housing for African Americans in the area.
Community Center
The park features a Cal Rec Community Center, which houses various programs and facilities for community members of all ages. The center includes a Teen Center program that operates Monday through Friday from 3 PM to 7 PM, providing a safe and engaging space for local youth.
Additionally, there is a Senior Center program that runs Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 2 PM, offering activities and services for older adults in the community.
Outdoor Amenities
McBride Park also provides outdoor recreational spaces for visitors. The park includes a lighted outdoor basketball court, allowing for extended playing hours.
