Located in a residential neighborhood, Riverview Park spans about four acres of community space where locals gather for a breath of fresh air and outdoor fun. This public green space might not be the biggest park in town, but it offers several options for outdoor recreation.

The park features a softball/youth baseball field that you can actually rent for your own events. Just keep in mind there aren't any lights, so daytime play is your only option here. If you're planning to reserve the field, you'll need to book for at least two hours at $15.00 per hour - not bad for having your own ball field for an afternoon!

Sports and Play Areas

There are two full-size basketball courts where you can shoot some hoops or get a pickup game going. For the little ones, there's a playground area where they can climb, slide, and burn off that endless energy kids somehow always have.

The large open grass field is really the heart of the park, offering plenty of space to toss a frisbee, kick a soccer ball, or just spread out a blanket and watch the clouds drift by. The grass runs a bit on the taller side, giving the place a slightly wild, natural feel that's a nice contrast to perfectly manicured lawns.

Amenities

When hunger strikes, head to one of the picnic areas with tables or claim the picnic shelter for some shade while you eat. These spots are excellent for family gatherings, birthday celebrations, or just enjoying a simple sandwich in the open air.

Interestingly, despite being called Riverview Park, you won't actually catch glimpses of the nearby Tuolumne River from here - a bit of a misnomer, but the peaceful setting in this quiet neighborhood more than makes up for it.

The expansive grassy areas make this an especially good spot for dog owners looking for room to play fetch or let their four-legged friends stretch their legs. Just keep an eye out for the occasional car passing through the surrounding streets if your pup tends to wander.
