About the Location

Location and Overview

Westbluff Park is a 5-acre public park located on the outskirts of Moreno Valley, California. Situated near Vista Heights Middle School and Canyon Springs High School, the park offers a variety of recreational facilities for residents and visitors.

Playgrounds

The park features two playgrounds catering to different age groups. The larger playground, designed for children aged 5-12, includes two 20-foot-tall tube slides (one of which is swirly), a rock climbing wall, smaller slides, ladders, a bridge, spinning chairs, and drums.

The smaller playground, intended for children aged 2-5, has slides, games, stairs, and a ladder.

Swings

In addition to the playgrounds, Westbluff Park provides swings for both younger and older children. There are two bucket swings for toddlers and two traditional swings suitable for all ages.

Green Spaces

The park includes green spaces on both sides of the playground area. The western green space offers more shade but less room, while the eastern green space provides ample open space but limited shade.

The grass is well-maintained, making it suitable for various activities such as football, soccer, and frisbee.

Picnic Areas

For those seeking relaxation or picnicking, the park offers a picnic shelter with a single table, grill, trash cans, and recycling bins. There are seven additional picnic tables scattered throughout the park, most of which have consistent shade for hot summer days.

Each table is equipped with a barbecue grill.

Facilities and Parking

Westbluff Park has a central parking lot with 22 regular spaces and one handicapped spot. Visitors should note that additional parking, including street parking, is limited in the vicinity.

The park includes restroom facilities located near the parking lot, though it's worth mentioning that they are not cleaned very frequently.

Nearby Attractions

While the park itself is relatively small, it is situated near Poorman Reservoir (also known as Poorman's Reservoir) and Pigeon Pass Valley, which offer additional recreational opportunities such as hiking trails.
