Tucked away on Suter Street, Allendale Recreation Center is a community space for recreation in Oakland. The grounds feature two baseball fields where you can catch local games or maybe practice your own swing on a sunny afternoon.

Need a spot for your next family gathering? The picnic area provides an excellent backdrop for those weekend get-togethers where memories (and maybe a few burgers) are made. Kids can burn off energy at the youth-sized outdoor basketball courts - specially designed with younger players in mind.

Little ones will make a beeline for the play structure, where imaginations run wild and the real challenge becomes convincing them it's time to go home.

Indoor Spaces

For indoor activities, Allendale offers several options. The spacious multi-purpose room transforms to host everything from community events to fitness classes. There's also a practical kitchen on site - great for when those cooking classes or special events need some culinary support.

Fancy a friendly competition? Challenge your friends to a game at the billiards and ping-pong tables, where friendly trash talk and laughter typically fill the air.

Community Hub

Allendale is not only a place to play but also where neighbors become friends. The center maintains an active advisory council that meets at 6:30 pm on the third Wednesday of each month. You're welcome to attend and share your thoughts on programs and improvements.
