Melba Bishop Park is a 16-acre recreational facility located in Oceanside, California. Developed in 1974, the park is named after former Councilmember Melba Bishop. The centerpiece of the park is the Melba Bishop Recreation Center, a 35,000-square-foot facility designed to meet the needs of the entire community.
The park offers a wide range of outdoor amenities for visitors to enjoy. It features multiple sports facilities, including baseball/softball fields, basketball courts, and tennis courts. For skateboarding enthusiasts, there is an 8,000-square-foot skatepark that was opened in 2008, offering a street course style.
