Allendale Park
About Allendale Park
Park Features
Allendale Park has a well-lit softball diamond with bleachers that can seat up to 300 fans. Right next to it, you'll come across a nicely illuminated multi-purpose field that's well-suited for the young soccer players in your life.
If racquet sports are more your thing, the park offers four pickleball courts with recently resurfaced, ball-friendly playing surfaces. The courts are open daily from 7:00 am to 10:00 pm, with lights available when the sun goes down, so you can keep the games going well into the evening.
Recreation Areas
The park is suitable for visitors of all ages. Little ones will enjoy the kid-friendly playground with its protective sawdust ground covering and age-appropriate equipment. There are also plenty of open grassy areas dotted with trees - perfect spots to relax with a book or just soak up some sunshine.
Scattered within the grounds are picnic tables where you can enjoy an outdoor meal or gather with friends. Some tables are strategically placed with benches facing the pickleball courts, making them ideal spots to watch the action while you snack.
Facilities
You'll come across clean restroom facilities conveniently located near the pickleball courts. During baseball games, the snack shack opens up, offering a good variety of food including some freshly grilled options if you work up an appetite.
Four-legged friends are welcome at Allendale Park, although you should bring your own waste bags as these aren't always stocked in the dispensers near the trash cans.
Pickleball Community
The pickleball courts draw players across all skill levels, from newcomers to advanced players (4.5+ rating). Peak hours tend to be between 9:00 am and 1:00 pm, and again from 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm, with weekends naturally being more crowded.
The community typically follows a four-on, four-off rotation system, with waits averaging 5-10 minutes between games depending on how busy the courts are.
Reservations and Usage
Both the softball diamond and multi-purpose field can be reserved for events or regular league play. Rates vary based on whether you're booking for individual/private use, commercial purposes, or non-profit organizations.
