Park Overview

Tucked away at the corner of California Boulevard and St. John Avenue in Pasadena, Singer Park is a charming 2.9-acre local favorite that welcomes visitors daily from 6:00 am to 10:00 pm.

This intimate green space features an open grassy area dotted with mature trees that cast cool, inviting shadows across the grounds. In one corner, a vibrant rose garden blooms with color and fills the air with subtle fragrance - an ideal little retreat from the urban bustle.

Facilities and Amenities

Kids will love the well-maintained playground equipped with modern slides and swings suitable for various ages. The wood chip flooring provides a soft landing spot for active little ones (though note that those slides can be a bit wet in the morning hours).

Scattered throughout the park are several picnic tables - ideal for casual family lunches or small birthday celebrations. When nature calls, clean restrooms with two stalls (including one that's wheelchair accessible) can be found in the back corner, along with a drinking fountain to keep everyone hydrated during your visit.

Layout and Accessibility

A paved walking path loops around the entire park, excellent for a quick stroll, a bike ride with the kids, or walking your four-legged friend. Despite sitting at the intersection of two busy streets, the park somehow maintains an open, spacious atmosphere that feels separate from city life.

You can find street parking along the bordering roads, but it might take a bit of patience during busier times due to the surrounding traffic.

In 2023, Singer Park celebrated its centennial - a hundred years as a neighborhood green space! Originally part of Mrs. Emma R. Singer's estate, this space carries a century of history beneath its trees. The beautiful historic homes surrounding the park add to its quintessential old Pasadena charm, creating a lovely backdrop for this neighborhood location.
