Veterans Park

Veterans Park is an affordable housing community located in Pomona, California, designed specifically for veterans and their families. Situated on West Commercial Street, the complex is conveniently positioned just two blocks from the Pomona Transit Center and within walking distance of Pomona's Downtown Arts District.

Completed in 2021, Veterans Park offers 60 apartment homes, ranging from one to three bedrooms. The community consists of 25 one-bedroom units, 15 two-bedroom units, and 20 three-bedroom units. Thirty of these apartments are reserved for veterans experiencing homelessness, with direct referrals handled by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.

The property features a single Type V over Type I building, drawing inspiration from the surrounding mission architecture and the nearby historic Pomona train depot. The design incorporates public art elements to connect with the city's Arts District.

Veterans Park provides various on-site facilities to support its residents. These include a 1,060 square foot veterans' center, a 1,283 square foot children's center, and a 1,070 square foot community space for events and activities. The complex also offers private counseling and meeting spaces to assist veterans in their transition to civilian life and navigation of the Veterans Affairs system.

The apartments themselves are designed with modern amenities, including balconies that open to the courtyard or neighborhood streets, personal storage space, and contemporary kitchens equipped with energy-efficient appliances.
