Bud Bender Park
About Bud Bender Park
Recreational Facilities
Stretching across 9.7 acres, Bud Bender Park is a green space in Rialto with various recreational options.
Baseball enthusiasts will feel right at home here with multiple baseball fields that cater to different skill levels. There's a Little League field, a Pony League field, and a T-ball field for the littlest sluggers. These fields light up after sunset, so the fun doesn't have to end when the sun goes down. The Rialto Youth PONY Baseball League often fills these diamonds with energy and friendly competition.
Amenities and Green Spaces
Need a spot for your next family gathering? The park offers plenty of green space along with picnic facilities and a covered picnic structure that's excellent for birthday celebrations or holiday get-togethers. Note that some areas don't have permanent tables, so you might want to bring your own or simply spread a blanket on the shaded grass.
During game days, the snack bar offers refreshments. And if you want to cook outdoors, BBQ pits are available.
Playground Area
The park features multiple play structures for children. What's really thoughtful is how the playground is designed with separate areas for different age groups. Toddlers can safely explore their own space while older siblings tackle the more challenging equipment.
The playground boasts three slides, four swings, and various climbing challenges that keep young adventurers engaged. This design makes the park practical for families with children of different ages.
Special Features
One of the unique aspects of Bud Bender Park is its community garden, where local residents can get their hands dirty growing plants and vegetables. History buffs will appreciate the Adobe House on the grounds - a little piece of local heritage amid the recreational facilities.
The park has seen some nice improvements lately, including more than 150 tons of fresh clay, laser-leveled baseball fields, and three new water fountains. And yes, these fountains include special low ones designed for four-legged visitors! The park is dog-friendly, so feel free to bring your pup (on a leash, of course).
Walking and Fitness
The park has a walking path that loops around its perimeter - good for morning exercise. Along the way, you can find free exercise resistance machines that let you mix up your workout without a gym membership.
Mornings tend to be quiet here, providing a peaceful atmosphere for walks, jogs, or simply sitting and relaxing.
