Highland Park

Recreation and Amenities

If you're planning a get-together, the multiple BBQ pits and covered picnic areas at this Highland neighborhood park are ideal for family reunions or weekend cookouts with friends. There are also plenty of open grassy areas where you can spread out a blanket for picnicking, toss around a frisbee, or simply lounge under the sun.

Take a leisurely stroll or get your morning jog in along the paved walkways that wind through landscaped grounds and mature trees offering generous shade on hot California days. There's a water fountain available when you need to hydrate, but plan ahead as there are no restrooms on the premises.

Playground Paradise

Kids will light up at the sight of three separate playground areas designed with different age groups in mind. Got toddlers or smaller children? The "blue playground" is your go-to with its age-appropriate equipment. Meanwhile, the "red playground" offers more challenging structures that will keep older kids entertained and active.

All the play equipment is clean and well-maintained, with engaging activities for children. It's refreshing to have options that cater to various stages of childhood development all in one park.

Sports Facilities

Between playground adventures, you'll come across a small basketball court where teens and adults can shoot some hoops or enjoy a casual pick-up game. It's not regulation-sized, but it's excellent for neighborhood play and friendly competition.

Location and Community

Positioned in a residential area, Highland Park is a convenient green escape for locals looking to stretch their legs or get some fresh air. The peaceful atmosphere and clean environment offer a nice break from the daily routine.

Its proximity to University of California, Riverside means you'll often see students taking study breaks or enjoying the outdoors between classes.
