Scenic Views

Situated in the Canyon Crest neighborhood, this 9-acre public park offers visitors a serene environment with panoramic views of the surrounding area. From various vantage points, guests can see the San Gabriel Mountains, San Bernardino Mountains, San Jacinto Mountains, and Santa Ana Mountains.

The park features a gently sloping terrain, providing an excellent vantage point for observing the Inland Empire and Riverside. At the top of the hill, visitors will find ten benches strategically placed to take advantage of the scenic vistas.

This area is particularly popular during winter when the mountains are often snow-capped, creating a mesmerizing backdrop.

Playground Facilities

Sycamore Highlands Park includes two playgrounds catering to different age groups. The larger playground boasts a tall slide, rock climbing wall, multiple staircases, smaller slides, and various games.

It also features four traditional swings and two bucket swings for younger children. The smaller playground, designed for younger visitors, offers small slides, games, talk tubes, monkey bars, and additional jungle gym equipment.

Recreation Areas

For those seeking recreational activities, the park provides a grass field adjacent to the playground, suitable for casual sports and activities. While the field's size and slight slope may limit its use for more structured sports, it offers a space for light physical activity and relaxation.

Amenities

Enhancing the park's appeal are several amenities designed for visitor comfort. These include picnic areas with tables and benches, providing ideal spots for family gatherings or quiet lunches.

The park also features a gazebo with picnic tables, offering a shaded area for visitors to relax and enjoy their surroundings.

It's worth noting that while the park offers ample lighting in most areas, the playground area is not illuminated, which visitors should consider when planning evening visits.
