Jonas Larkspur Park

Park Features

Jonas Larkspur Park is a green space in the Arden Manor community, located at the junction of Jonas and Larkspur streets. This Sacramento spot offers a range of outdoor activities that cater to all ages.

The park's playground is compact but well-kept, offering a safe space where kids can burn off energy and make new friends. Just a heads-up though - you won't find any swing sets here. There's also a soccer field and a baseball diamond for those impromptu games. While they're not professional-grade surfaces, they're perfectly fine for casual neighborhood matches and weekend fun.

Natural Elements

The park's nature trail provides a peaceful path to explore local plants and wildlife. The park's gazebos provide shaded areas for relaxation or family picnics.

These structures are particularly welcome during Sacramento's scorching summer days. Around the park, grassy expanses and mature trees create natural shade, making this a cool oasis when temperatures climb.

Sports Facilities

Tennis enthusiasts can make use of the park's tennis courts, but you might want to bring your own net as they're not always installed. These courts are on the improvement radar, so changes may be coming.

The park welcomes dogs, making it a popular spot for local pups to stretch their legs and socialize.

Future Developments

The park plans to add pickleball courts to its facilities. These may replace or transform the existing tennis courts, bringing more recreational variety to the community.

Amenities and Accessibility

Just so you know, Jonas Larkspur Park currently lacks permanent restrooms and water fountains. While there are picnic areas and grilling spaces available, some parts of the park have minimal shade during the hottest hours of summer days, so plan accordingly.
