For families, there are multiple playgrounds spread across the upper and lower park areas.
History
San Dieguito County Park has a rich history. The land was originally inhabited by Kumeyaay Native Americans before becoming part of a Spanish land grant in the 1800s.
In 1954, 100 acres were donated to San Diego County to create the park. Over the years, it has been developed into a popular recreational area while still maintaining much of its natural character.
