Ward Canyon Park spans 6.9 acres in the Normal Heights neighborhood of San Diego, California. Located near the intersection of Adams Avenue and 39th Street, the park sits adjacent to Interstate 15.

History
The park officially opened on March 29, 2003, as part of an agreement between Caltrans and the City of San Diego during the construction of I-15. It was initially named "39th Street" park.
On March 28, 2008, following community input and approval by Toni Atkins, it was officially renamed Ward Canyon Neighborhood Park.

A concrete path encircles the park's perimeter, providing a convenient route for walkers and joggers to enjoy exercise outdoors.
One of the park's notable features is its off-leash dog area, which is divided into separate fenced sections for large and small dogs. This area has a tumbled wood chip surface and provides ample space for pets to play and exercise.
