Historical Background

Holly Park is one of San Francisco's oldest public spaces, established in 1862 when James Graham Fair donated 7.5 acres of land to the city. Located in the Bernal Heights neighborhood, this hilltop park offers panoramic views of the city and San Francisco Bay.

Community Renewal

The park underwent significant improvements in the early 2000s, thanks to community efforts led by the Friends of Holly Park group. Today, it features a circular layout with Holly Park Circle surrounding its perimeter.

Towering eucalyptus and cypress trees line the park, providing shade and a natural backdrop.

Features and Amenities

At the center of Holly Park lies a full baseball field, which doubles as a spacious grassy area for various activities. The park's elevated position, though only 274 feet above sea level, affords visitors 360-degree views of the surrounding cityscape, including glimpses of Bernal Heights, Bayview Park, and on clear days, even the Marin Headlands.
