Amenities and Features

Despite its compact footprint, Westwood Oaks doesn't skimp on the fun stuff. The modern children's playground is definitely a highlight, featuring climbing structures, slides, and swings that will keep the little ones entertained for hours. Features like acoustic instruments and a sand pit provide play opportunities that are somewhat unique to this park.

For the more adventurous kiddos, there's a climbing rope net pyramid and climbing boulder to conquer. The four-way teeter-totter and parent-child swing set are nice touches that encourage interactive play between families.

Sports fans haven't been forgotten either - the half-basketball court is well-suited for a quick pickup game or some solo practice. When hunger strikes, take advantage of the picnic and barbecue facilities scattered around the grounds. Recent Improvements

2024 brought some major upgrades to Westwood Oaks through a comprehensive rehabilitation project. The play area now spans nearly triple its original size and includes inclusive play elements designed so children of all abilities can join in the fun together.

One of the best additions has to be the new perimeter walking path that loops around the entire park. If you're looking to get your steps in, take a leisurely stroll, or watch your kids zoom around on their scooters, this paved pathway offers a smooth surface that's accessible to everyone.

Visitor Information

Getting here is a breeze with plenty of street parking available in the surrounding neighborhood. If you're bringing children, morning visits tend to offer the most pleasant experience before the day heats up. That said, those magnificent redwoods provide ample shade over the grassy areas, making this a comfortable spot for picnics pretty much any time of day.
