Natural Setting

Heritage Park spans a large area of lush greenery, offering residents and visitors a serene escape within the city of Santa Clarita.

Well-maintained walking trails wind through the grounds, making it suitable for leisurely strolls, jogging, or biking. These paved pathways connect to the larger San Francisquito Creek Trail system, allowing for extended exploration of the area.

Playground Facilities

A key attraction at Heritage Park is its playground area, which is divided into two sections. There's a dedicated toddler play structure with age-appropriate equipment, while older children can enjoy a separate play area with more challenging structures.

Both playground sections are equipped with shade canopies to protect children from the sun.

Sports and Recreation

The park includes multiple sports facilities. There are lighted tennis courts available for public use, as well as large multi-purpose fields that are often used for soccer games and other sporting events.

On busy weekends, these fields can draw significant crowds, filling up the park's parking lots.

Unique Features

One unique feature of Heritage Park is its life-sized bear sculpture, part of the California Bear Project initiated by the City of Santa Clarita in 2003. This public art installation, known as the "Heritage Bear," provides an interesting focal point and photo opportunity for visitors.

Behind the tennis courts, visitors can find a small amphitheater offering views of the nearby Bridgeport Marketplace and duck pond.

Event Spaces

For those looking to host events, the park offers a large covered pavilion with six benches, located adjacent to the playground. This space can be reserved for gatherings such as birthday parties, though reservations must be made in advance through the city.
