Coyote Hills Park offers a nice setting for a day out with the kids. The park features pre-teen and tot lot playgrounds positioned conveniently close to each other with benches in between - meant for keeping an eye on siblings of different ages while they burn off some energy.

Hoop dreams, anyone? The well-maintained basketball court is ready for your pickup games or just shooting around. It's even lit up in the evenings, so you can still get your game on after the sun goes down.

Amenities

For protection from the California sun, there's a covered picnic pavilion. This shaded gathering spot comes equipped with small tables and lighting for evening get-togethers. It's an ideal spot for family picnics or catching up with friends over a meal.

Mature shade trees dot the landscape, creating natural umbrellas and adding to the park's peaceful vibe. Note that there are no public restrooms available here, so plan accordingly before your visit.

The large grassy field dominating much of the park is well-suited for frisbee games, soccer matches, or simply lounging on a blanket with a good book. There's also a BBQ grill if you're feeling like an outdoor cook, however you might need to arrive early to claim it as there's only one available.

What gives this park its unique character are the horse trails that run along three sides of the perimeter, with horse corrals situated on the outer edge. This charming feature adds a touch of rural tranquility that's increasingly rare in suburban parks.
