Historic Origins
Victory Park is a 22.45-acre public park located in Stockton, California. Established in 1916 and originally named Benvenida Park, it was renamed Victory Park in 1919 to honor the Allied victory in World War I.
The park is situated in a residential area on the western edge of the city, providing a serene green space for the local community.
The Haggin Museum
At the heart of Victory Park stands the Haggin Museum, a prominent art and history museum housed in an early 19th-century brick building. The museum, which opened its doors on June 14, 1931, showcases an impressive collection of fine art, including works by Albert Bierstadt, and exhibits on local history.
