About the Location
Adventure Awaits
Nestled in southeast Aurora, Colorado, Tollgate Crossing Neighborhood Park stretches across 5.5 acres at the corner of South Duquesne and South Catawba Streets. This green oasis is the recreational heart of the Tollgate Crossing neighborhood.
The park features a Ninja Warrior-style obstacle course that challenges your strength and agility. As the first of its kind in any public park throughout metro Denver, it attracts both kids and adults who come to test their skills.
Get Moving
When you're in the mood for a casual workout, the park's loop trails offer perfect pathways for a morning jog or an evening stroll. The design includes both active recreation areas and quieter spaces, giving you options for exercise or relaxation.
Racquet sports enthusiasts will appreciate the tennis court and two pickleball courts. The pickleball scene here is particularly vibrant, with a friendly community of regulars who make newcomers feel welcome. Many people end up meeting others while playing here.
Kid-Friendly Fun
On the east side of the tennis courts, you'll come across a playground that takes climbing and sliding to the next level. The tube slide built into an artificial turf hill offers a different take on the traditional playground slide.
There's also a distinctive wall slide that's popular with children. The various climbing features fit perfectly with the park's adventure theme, offering appropriate challenges whether your little ones are just starting to explore or ready for more advanced climbing adventures.
Gather & Relax
Planning a family get-together? The park's picnic shelter comes complete with a BBQ grill, making it an ideal spot to gather, grill some burgers, and enjoy quality time together outdoors.
Note that there are no restroom facilities available in the park - something to keep in mind if you're planning an extended visit.
A Neighborhood Necessity
Tollgate Crossing Neighborhood Park emerged from Aurora's dedication to creating accessible green spaces for its growing communities. Before this park opened, nearly 2,000 residents in southeast Tollgate Crossing had no parks within a 10-minute walk.
Now, this space provides a recreational area within walking distance for neighborhood residents.
