Triangle Park
About Triangle Park
Park Overview
Triangle Park is a cozy 4.5-acre neighborhood spot tucked into Aurora, Colorado. This isn't your typical cookie-cutter park - it's got some thoughtful design touches that make it stand out from the usual playground-and-grass formula.
Playground Features
The playground here takes a nature-inspired approach that actually works. Instead of the usual bright plastic equipment, you'll find custom rock-like textured panels and roofs that blend nicely with the surroundings. The standout feature is definitely the concrete-sculpted buffalo climber - it's both fun for kids and a nod to Colorado's heritage.
Designed for ages 5 to 12, the playground was installed in June 2012 and uses natural colors throughout. The net climbers add some variety and challenge beyond the standard slides and swings. Speaking of swings, they're sized to accommodate older kids and adults too, which is always a nice touch.
Amenities and Layout
The picnic area centers around a gazebo with benches and tables - fantastic for birthday parties or just hanging out while the kids play. A paved walking path loops around the park's perimeter, good for a quick walk or letting your dog stretch their legs.
Triangle Park welcomes dogs and typically stocks waste bags for pet owners, but you might want to bring your own just in case. One thing to note: there are no restroom facilities here, so plan accordingly if you're staying for a while.
What Makes It Special
The park's design creates a cohesive feel where the playground, walking paths, and green spaces work together rather than feeling like separate elements. It's the kind of neighborhood park that serves its community well without trying to be everything to everyone.
