Nestled at the intersection of Peoria Street and Jewell Avenue in Aurora, Colorado, Utah Park spans a generous 46.5 acres. The park serves both as a flood-control facility and a place where locals can enjoy some time away from the urban landscape.

The park sits where Westerly Creek meets Jewel Tributary, featuring a gently contoured landscape and naturalized streambeds. If you're looking for an ideal walking route, the trail that loops around the park stretches about one mile long and treats you to some lovely views along the way.

Transformation Story

Utah Park wasn't always what you see today. Once just a stormwater detention basin with a muddy lake and hidden creek pipes, it underwent a $5.8 million renovation that transformed its utilitarian purpose with thoughtful design elements.

The redesign introduced two new ponds alongside various recreational features, combining practical function with recreational space. These ponds have become mini ecosystems, attracting ducks and geese that make their home here year-round.
