About Arapahoe Park in Centennial

Arapaho Park is a 16-acre public park located in Centennial, Colorado, south of Denver. The park offers a variety of recreational facilities and amenities for visitors of all ages.

The park features multiple sports fields, including one large soccer field measuring 210 feet across, three medium-sized soccer fields at 140 feet across, and three smaller soccer fields ranging from 90 to 110 feet across. These fields cater to different age groups and skill levels, making the park a popular venue for soccer games and practices.

In addition to soccer fields, Arapaho Park includes a baseball field that is 135 feet long. The baseball area is equipped with three rows of bleachers on each side, adjacent to the team dugouts. The dugouts are covered to provide shade for players.

For basketball and tennis enthusiasts, the park offers a basketball court and two tennis courts. There are also horseshoe pits located near the tennis courts for those interested in this traditional game.

A highlight of Arapaho Park is its playground area, which features equipment suitable for various age groups. The playground includes a large play structure with multiple slides, including two tall tube slides, an open slide, and a tunnel slide. For younger children, there is a smaller playground with two slides, a ladder, a bridge, and stairs. The park also offers musical instruments like drums and xylophones, adding an interactive and sensory element to the play area.

Arapaho Park is designed with accessibility in mind, featuring a concrete sidewalk that circles the entire park, measuring approximately 2/3 of a mile. This pathway is ideal for walking, jogging, or taking a leisurely stroll with pets. The park is dog-friendly, though owners are expected to clean up after their pets.

For visitors' convenience, the park includes restroom facilities located near the playground and tennis courts. There are also several picnic tables available for those who wish to enjoy a meal or snack outdoors.

The park provides a parking lot with 38 regular spots and 2 handicapped spaces, though this may fill up quickly during busy times, particularly when multiple sports games are taking place.
