Cherry Hill Park is a local favorite tucked away in Centennial. If you're looking to kick a ball around, you'll appreciate the flat field area with goal posts - excellent for an impromptu soccer match or just practicing your skills.

A bit separate from the main hustle and bustle sits the basketball court, giving hoops enthusiasts their own space to shoot around without worrying about a stray ball interrupting someone's picnic.

Playground Paradise

The newly remodeled playground is honestly where this park shines. They've thoughtfully designed it with different zones - challenging climbing structures for the older kids and safer, more accessible equipment for the little ones.

What makes this playground stand out are its unique features. There's this cool interactive light game that keeps kids entertained, and a clever swing design that lets parents swing alongside their children (finally!). The large standing swing is a hit with groups - we've seen up to four kids giggling away on it at once.

One heads-up: if you've got toddlers, you might want to keep a closer eye on them around the stairway to one of the slides, as it can be a bit steep for the smallest adventurers.

Chill Spots

Need a break from all that playing? The covered picnic area with about five large circular tables provides welcome shade on sunny Colorado days.

There's also a charming Little Free Library where you can swap books - take one, leave one, or both! The playground area features a gazebo too, offering another sheltered spot to catch your breath.

Practical Stuff

You'll discover water fountains scattered within the park for when thirst strikes. There's a designated area for portable restrooms, but they're not always present year-round.

Dog parents will appreciate the doggie bag station and the open fields and trails that make for pleasant pet walks.

As part of the South Suburban Parks and Recreation system, Cherry Hill Park is well-maintained and cared for throughout the seasons.

One of our favorite things about this park is its hilltop position, offering a stunning view of the Front Range Mountains - a quintessential Colorado backdrop that makes even a quick playground visit feel special.

Street parking is available along the park's edges, making it easy to access. And if you're looking to make a day of it, the Koelbel Library is nearby - ideal for when you need to balance outdoor play with some indoor time.
