Cherry Creek State Park is a 4,200-acre recreation area located in Aurora, Colorado, just minutes from downtown Denver. The park is centered around an 880-acre reservoir, offering a natural prairie environment with gentle, rolling hills. Open year-round, it provides a diverse range of outdoor activities for visitors.

Trail System

The park features 35 miles of multi-use trails, including 15 miles of paved paths, which are popular among hikers, walkers, runners, and cyclists. These trails wind through various habitats, including wetlands, riparian areas, and grasslands, providing opportunities for nature observation and wildlife viewing.

Over 40 mammal species and 171 bird species inhabit the park, making it a haven for wildlife enthusiasts and birdwatchers.
