Situated in the heart of the historic Bessemer neighborhood, this 7.33-acre green space is the community's backyard and gathering spot. What you're looking at today was once known as Minnequa Park before adopting its current name. A 2019 facelift brought new playground equipment, benches, and tables, breathing fresh life into this longstanding community fixture.

Recreation Opportunities

Baseball enthusiasts will appreciate the park's baseball field, which hosts more than just casual games. Every Memorial Day weekend, the field comes alive with the Joe Santos Memorial baseball games - a meaningful community tradition that helps fund scholarships for college-bound Pueblo students.

When summer temperatures climb, the park's outdoor swimming pool becomes the neighborhood's oasis. For $4, you can splash around all day and even challenge yourself on the rock wall in the deep end. The pool area offers clean restrooms and shaded tables with umbrellas - ideal for a picnic lunch or just taking a break from the sun. For the little ones or those wanting a quick cool-down, there's also a spray pad that's a hit with families.

Playground
