One of the park's best features is its walking and biking trail that creates a scenic connection between Clearwater and Dunedin. At 1.25 miles one way, it's well-suited for a quick exercise session or a leisurely waterside wander.

Keep your eyes peeled while you're here - the waters frequently offer glimpses of dolphins playing in the waves, various birds diving for their next meal, and if you're particularly lucky, you might spot manatees gliding beneath the surface. Several benches dot the path, great for taking a moment to soak in the views or catch your breath.

While the park currently offers a more passive experience, future refurbishment plans are in the works to enhance what's already a lovely natural setting.

Good to Know

Parking can be a bit limited here, which helps maintain the park's quiet charm but means you might need to circle around during popular sunset hours.

You can bring your four-legged friends along, but do keep them leashed due to the proximity to traffic. The trail accommodates various activities - walking, jogging, biking, and even roller skating - though be aware that some sections might have uneven surfaces.

If you're looking to extend your outdoor time, the trail connects to the larger Edgewater Park northward, and you'll find restroom facilities available at the Dunedin marina.
