Oakview Park, formerly known as Kiwanis Girl Scout Park, underwent significant improvements in 2020 as part of the City of Gainesville's Wild Spaces & Public Places program.
The renovation project included updates to the existing building on the property, landscaping enhancements, and the removal of invasive plant species. These improvements have transformed Oakview Park into a more welcoming and functional community space.
