Historical Significance
Named after James Silas Walker, a former City councilman and community activist nicknamed "Pop," the park plays a significant role in local events. It serves as the venue for the City of Hialeah's Annual Jose Marti Parade, honoring the late Jose Marti and recognizing his influence on the Cuban community.
Additionally, the park houses a monument dedicated to the Federation of Exiled Cuban Freemasons.
