About Crespi Park

Green Space and Layout

Stretching along Crespi Boulevard in Miami Beach, this triangular glimpse of greenery is a breath of fresh air for the surrounding community. At about 2 acres, Crespi Park may not be massive, but it certainly makes the most of its space.

The multi-purpose field at its heart invites everything from impromptu soccer games to lazy afternoon picnics. When Miami's famous sunshine gets a bit too intense, the shaded pavilion offers an excellent retreat.

We appreciate that the entire park is fenced in - parents can relax a bit knowing the little ones aren't wandering off toward the street.

Playground and Recreation

The park got a nice upgrade in 2015 with a brand new playground. What makes this play area special is how it came to be - a true community effort between the City of Miami Beach Parks and Recreation department, KaBOOM!, the Irie Foundation, and Jet Blue.

Local kids actually helped design it, and amazingly, over 250 volunteers built the whole thing in just one day! While it's not the biggest playground you'll ever see, it's fantastic for younger children and adds to the family-friendly vibe of the space.

Active visitors gravitate toward the basketball court, which sees action from players of all ages. If you're looking to get your steps in, the walking trail winds both through and around the park, offering a pleasant route for a casual stroll or morning jog.

Park Amenities and Facilities

Let's talk practical matters - Crespi Park maintains clean restrooms with separate facilities for men and women. One standout feature is the water fountain and bottle filler that dispenses cold water - an absolute lifesaver during Miami's warm months.

The park itself is well-kept and organized, creating an inviting atmosphere for everyone who visits. It's no wonder this green space attracts such a diverse crowd, from solo adults seeking some outdoor time to families with energetic kids.

Park Policies and Usage

Thinking about hosting an event? The park's facilities are available for private rentals, making it a great spot for birthday celebrations or team gatherings. You'll need to contact the City of Miami Beach Recreation Program Supervisor to make arrangements.

A couple things to note: dogs are not allowed within the park boundaries (sorry, furry friends), and the park operates daily from 8AM to 8PM. Interestingly, some local private schools have incorporated the park into their physical education curriculum, so you might spot organized activities during school hours.
