About the Location
A Simple Space for Movement
Tucked away in Miami-Dade County, Ferguson Park spans seven acres of straightforward green space that doesn't try to be fancy. This park keeps things simple, focusing on what matters most to many locals: having room to move.
At the heart of the park lies a multipurpose field - essentially a wide, open grassy area meant for getting some running in, tossing a ball around, or just letting your body stretch out after being cooped up indoors.
What You'll Find Here
Winding through the grounds is a concrete walkway that's become something of a daily ritual spot for neighborhood joggers and walkers. Fair warning though - the path has seen better days, with uneven sections and some cracks here and there.
Don't expect too many bells and whistles at Ferguson. You'll spot some trash cans within the grounds, and a handful of small trees offer bits of shade along the paths - though not enough for those scorching Miami summer days.
Good to Know Before You Go
This is definitely a no-frills neighborhood spot. You won't find restrooms, water fountains, benches, or playground equipment here, so plan accordingly if you're thinking of visiting.
Note that pets aren't allowed in the park - it's really designed with human walkers and joggers in mind.
Behind the Scenes
The park falls under Miami-Dade County's care, which keeps the grounds clean and maintained for everyone in the community to enjoy.
