Margaret Pace Park is an 8-acre urban park located in the Edgewater neighborhood of Miami, Florida. Situated along the waterfront of Biscayne Bay, the park offers stunning views of the Venetian Islands and Miami Beach beyond.

Historical Background

Created in the late 1960s, the park was named in honor of Margaret Pace, a prominent Miami preservationist. Pace was known for her work as chairwoman of Royal Palm State Park (which later became part of Everglades National Park) and as a founder and president of the Miami Garden Club.

She also served as vice president of the Miami Women's Club, which is located adjacent to the park.

Park Development

The park underwent a significant renovation in 2003, receiving a $4 million makeover. Today, it serves as a popular recreational space for local residents and visitors alike, providing a green oasis amidst the surrounding high-rise condominiums of the Edgewater district.
