A Park with History

Located in Miami's Allapattah neighborhood, Moore Park spreads across 15.2 acres of urban greenspace with a story to tell. Dating back to the 1930s, this park once played host to the Orange Bowl games and parades - a piece of Miami's sporting history that still resonates today.

The park has gotten quite the facelift in recent years, balancing modern amenities with nods to its historical significance. It's not flashy, but there's something genuine about how this space has evolved while honoring its roots.

Get Your Game On

If you're into sports, Moore Park has plenty of options. With 11 tennis courts and two basketball courts, you'll come across plenty of space to play. The baseball field draws players from beginners to seasoned veterans, while the running track encircling the football field offers a smooth surface for your morning jog or training session.

The track and field area, now known as Orange Bowl Field, got a nice update in 2011 to mark the 75th anniversary of the Orange Bowl. The football/soccer field boasts well-maintained artificial turf and bleacher seating for when friends come to cheer you on.

Community Heart

At its core, Moore Park is a neighborhood hub with its community center and daycare facility. Inside the community center, you can find administrative offices alongside multipurpose rooms with a commercial kitchen, computer stations, arts and crafts spaces, and areas dedicated to exercise.

The daycare can look after up to 45 children and includes an outdoor playground for the little ones. All year long, the park buzzes with community gatherings, youth sports leagues, and even hosts CrossFit programs for fitness enthusiasts.

Outdoor Living

Sometimes you just need some fresh air, and Moore Park offers several spaces for that. Open plazas and courtyards offer breathing room, while green gathering areas with shelter pavilions provide perfect spots for outdoor events. If grilling is your thing, you can fire up one of the barbecue grill stations for a weekend cookout.

The park's natural appeal has been enhanced with the addition of diverse tree species within the grounds. It's a pleasant place to enjoy a quiet lunch break, squeeze in a quick workout, or simply take a leisurely walk. You'll notice the grounds are typically clean and well-kept, thanks to the attentive park staff.
