About the Location
A Natural Retreat
Tucked away in Florida, Exchange Club Park spans 14 acres of natural beauty jointly maintained by Lighthouse Point and Pompano Beach. This peaceful sanctuary offers a lovely escape from the urban hustle with its winding perimeter trail that invites you to wander through untouched landscapes.
The park's generous open green spaces provide plenty of room to spread out a blanket, read a book, or simply watch the clouds drift by. We've found this tranquil space to be refreshingly uncrowded - an excellent spot when you're craving some quiet time outdoors without venturing too far from the city.
Waterside Wonder
One of the park's best features has to be its beach area facing the Intracoastal Waterway. If you enjoy boat-watching, you'll love the ever-changing parade of vessels passing by. On hot days, the water beckons for a cooling dip, but do keep in mind that seaweed sometimes makes an appearance along the shore.
This waterfront setting is what truly sets Exchange Club Park apart from other green spaces in the area - offering that magical combination of leafy landscapes and shimmering water views that's hard to beat for a local park.
Things to Do
While not packed with amenities, the park offers just enough for a satisfying outdoor experience. The large open field is excellent for tossing a frisbee, kicking a soccer ball around, or simply letting the kids burn off some energy.
When hunger strikes, head to the small picnic area where you'll find two or three tables for enjoying a packed lunch. Just remember that grilling isn't allowed, so plan accordingly. Exchange Club Park maintains a family-friendly atmosphere throughout, making it suitable for visitors of all ages.
Good to Know
You can find restrooms available during your visit - they're nothing fancy and show their age a bit, but they're generally clean and functional. The park welcomes visitors daily from 7AM to 8PM, giving you plenty of daylight hours to enjoy this natural retreat.
Note that your four-legged friends will need to stay home, as dogs aren't permitted in the park (you'll spot plenty of signs reminding you of this). Veterans will appreciate the respectful, tranquil environment that makes this park a comfortable place for reflection and relaxation.
