About the Location
Park History
Tom Brown Park is a 255-acre city park located in the eastern part of Tallahassee, Florida, just east of Capital Circle SE between Mahan Drive and Apalachee Parkway.
Dedicated on January 30, 1977, the park was named after Thomas Irvin Brown, Jr., a coach for Leon High School from 1944 to 1946, who also coached the Babe Ruth League for 20 years and served as a Leon County Commissioner for 14 years.
Recreational Facilities
This expansive park serves as Tallahassee's premier recreational area, offering a wide array of facilities and activities for visitors of all ages. The park features numerous sports fields, including baseball, softball, and soccer fields, as well as tennis courts and basketball courts.
