About Palolo Triangle Mini Park in Honolulu

Palolo Triangle Park is a small public green space located in the Palolo Valley neighborhood of Honolulu, Hawaii. The park serves as a local gathering spot for residents and provides a touch of nature in the urban landscape.

In May 2022, the park underwent a significant change when its iconic Chinese Banyan tree at the entrance of Palolo Valley was replaced with a newly planted Ali'i Banyan tree. This replacement was necessitated after the original tree suffered damage from three different pest infestations.

The park's triangular shape, which contributes to its name, offers a unique layout in the neighborhood.

As with many parks in Honolulu, Palolo Triangle Park is maintained by the City and County of Honolulu's Department of Parks and Recreation. The department works to ensure that public spaces like this remain accessible and well-maintained for local residents.
