At the heart of this 9-acre community space sits a 50-meter swimming pool that's basically paradise for lap swimmers. And don't worry if you're still working on your technique or have little ones in tow - there's also a training pool and a charming wading pool where the younger crowd can splash around safely.

Not much of a swimmer? No problem. There's also a well-maintained gymnasium for those rainy Hawaiian days, plus outdoor courts for basketball, tennis, and volleyball when the sun's shining (which, let's be honest, is most of the time in Honolulu). Baseball fans can catch some action or join a game at the baseball field that anchors one end of the park.

The City and County of Honolulu's Department of Parks and Recreation keeps things running smoothly here, maintaining the grounds and organizing activities that bring the neighborhood together.

During the year, you can find everything from summer programs where kids can burn off energy to adult fitness classes where you might actually make good on those exercise resolutions. The park offers both recreational facilities and community activities throughout the year.
