History and Heritage

Found in the heart of Logan Square, Kosciuszko Park spans just over eight acres, offering a green retreat for neighborhood residents. Established back in 1916, the park emerged from the Northwest Park District's push to give Northwest Chicago locals more access to outdoor spaces.

The park honors Tadeusz Kościuszko, a remarkable Polish-Lithuanian military leader who achieved hero status in both Poland and the United States. He's best known for leading the Kościuszko Uprising against oppressive regimes - quite the namesake for a community gathering spot!

Historic Fieldhouse
