Location and History

Kennedy Park encompasses 27 acres of versatile recreational space on the north side of Springfield, Illinois, adjacent to Walnut Valley and near IL Route 29.

Established in 1988, the park was named in honor of President John F. Kennedy and his brother Robert Kennedy. Its development reflects a community-focused design, offering a variety of amenities to engage individuals and families.
