About the Location
A Place for Everyone to Play
Found in northeast Fishers, Indiana, Cyntheanne Park spans a generous 53 acres and honestly has something for just about everyone. It's the kind of place where you can spend an entire day without hearing "I'm bored" from anyone in your group.
The playground here is pretty awesome - it's designed for free-form play that gets kids moving naturally. The Evos playground structure really stands out, focusing on movement rather than static play. If you've got little ones, you'll appreciate the safety-conscious equipment that still lets them jump, crawl, and climb to their heart's content.
For the Sports Enthusiasts
Love sports? You're in luck. The park has five multi-purpose sports fields where you can kick a soccer ball, toss around a football, or try your hand at lacrosse or rugby. Many fields have bleachers too, so supporters can cheer comfortably from the sidelines.
What really makes Cyntheanne unique is its status as the only municipal park in the entire country with eight outdoor pickleball courts. The Cage Pickleball Challenge Courts have created quite the community of enthusiastic players. Night owls will appreciate that four courts have flood lights that stay on until 10 PM - meant for those evening games after work.
The park has become something of a sports destination, regularly hosting soccer finals and championships for rugby and lacrosse. With its spacious layout, multiple games can happen at once without feeling crowded.
Nature's Retreat
Need a break from the action? The 1-mile paved multi-use trail offers a smooth surface for walking, running, or pushing a stroller. For those who prefer a more natural experience, there's also a natural grass trail winding through the landscape.
The two fishing ponds add a tranquil touch to the scenery. What's nice about Cyntheanne is that despite being within city limits, it manages to capture that peaceful "away from it all" feeling that's so refreshing after a hectic week.
Grow Your Own
One of the more unique features is the Community Garden Program. If you've ever wanted to try growing your own food but lack the space at home, you can rent plots of various sizes here. It's a wonderful way to connect with fellow gardening enthusiasts while cultivating your own fruits and veggies.
The garden area sits in a quieter section at the back of the park, creating a peaceful spot where you can tend to your plants away from the sports action.
The Practical Stuff
You'll find clean, modern restrooms accessible across the park - always a plus when spending several hours outdoors. The picnic areas with tables are ideal for a family lunch or just taking a break between activities.
Parking is never an issue here, as Cyntheanne boasts the largest parking lot of all Fishers parks. Even during tournament weekends, you shouldn't struggle to find a spot. The whole place is impressively well-kept, with tidy grounds and thoughtful landscaping that makes wandering the park a pleasure.
Community Hub
Cyntheanne Park really comes alive as a gathering place. Local groups like Mudsocks Sports frequently use the fields for youth competitions, and in the past, the park has hosted special events including the popular (and messy!) Mud Day.
If you're looking to break a sweat on the fields, get your hands dirty in the garden, or simply enjoy a peaceful walk, Cyntheanne Park offers a well-rounded outdoor experience. Its blend of athletic facilities, play areas, and natural spaces makes it popular with Fishers residents of all ages.
