About the Location
History and Setting
Originally a private arboretum, Duck Creek Park was developed in the 1930s as a public works project during the Great Depression. The park features mature trees and rolling hills, providing a scenic natural setting within the city.
This 211-acre public park follows along Duck Creek as it flows eastward through Davenport.
Golf Course
The centerpiece of Duck Creek Park is its 18-hole public golf course. Measuring 5,759 yards, the par 70 course takes advantage of the park's varied terrain and tree-lined fairways.
A driving range was added to the golf facilities in 2010.
Recreational Amenities
In addition to golfing, Duck Creek Park offers a variety of recreational amenities for visitors. The park contains tennis courts, pickleball courts, playground equipment, and picnic shelters.
A paved multi-use trail runs through the park, connecting it to the larger Duck Creek Parkway trail system that extends across Davenport and into neighboring Bettendorf.
Special Facilities
The park is home to Duck Creek Lodge, an indoor facility that can be rented for events and gatherings.
The Stampe Lilac Garden and Gazebo within the park is a popular spot for outdoor weddings and photographs.
