Brody School Park

A Bit of History

Positioned in Des Moines, Brody School Park sits on the grounds of Brody Middle School, which first opened its doors back in September 1967. The school was named after Joseph I. Brody and initially welcomed both junior high and elementary students under one roof.

What's on the Playground

If you've got older kids (specifically in the 5-12 age range), this playground hits the sweet spot. The climbing wall is a highlight - meant for little adventurers looking to test their strength and coordination.

For safety's sake, the playground is cushioned with wood chips, giving kids a softer landing when gravity inevitably wins.

Good to Know

While there's plenty of fun to be had with the various play structures, shade is somewhat of a rare commodity here, especially around the playground. Something to keep in mind if you're planning a visit during those scorching summer days - pack extra water and maybe a hat!
