About the Location
Fresh Look After 2023 Makeover
Frisbie Park got a nice facelift in August 2023, and honestly, it's made a world of difference to this nearby retreat.
The newly updated playground might not be massive, but what it lacks in size, it makes up for in creativity. It's perfectly cozy for the little ones while still offering enough variety to keep kids entertained. If you've got younger children especially, the manageable scale of this playground is actually a plus - easier to keep an eye on the kiddos while they explore the fun equipment.
Get Moving Outdoors
Beyond the playground, Frisbie Park offers those essential green spaces we all need for a mental health break. Whether you're looking to get your steps in or just spread out a blanket and breathe some fresh air, there's room for that here.
At the top of the park, you'll find a spacious open field that's become something of a hotspot for drone enthusiasts and RC plane hobbyists. It's one of those versatile spaces that adapts to whatever activity you bring to it. And let's be real - having this tucked right in a residential area is pretty convenient when you just need a quick outdoor escape without driving across town.
Sports Corner
For those interested in sports, Frisbie offers several options. The park houses a well-maintained baseball field and tennis courts that serve both the organized league players and casual weekend warriors equally well.
There's also a basketball court with double rims for those pick-up games. Nothing fancy, but definitely gets the job done when you need to shoot some hoops.
Comfort Essentials
Planning to spend the day? The covered shelter with multiple picnic tables makes a great home base for everything from birthday parties to casual meet-ups. It's a nice spot to gather, have a bite, and recharge before heading back to the playground or fields.
You should know there are restrooms inside the buildings, but they can sometimes be hit or miss on the cleanliness front. The park is generally navigable with sidewalks and well-lit streets, however some paths leading to the playground could use a little TLC.
Four-Legged Friends Welcome
Perhaps one of the park's best features is how dog-friendly it is. That large open field isn't just for humans - it's a paradise for pups who need room to stretch their legs and burn off energy. You'll often spot neighborhood dog owners letting their furry friends run while they chat and enjoy the outdoor space together.
