A Historic Green Space

Rosedale Park has been the neighborhood's go-to recreational spot since before Rosedale was even part of Kansas City - it only joined the city proper in 1922 when the area was annexed. Today, the park stretches across 55 acres of greenery in Kansas City, Kansas.

Disc Golf Destination

If there's one thing that puts Rosedale Park on the map, it's the two 18-hole disc golf courses. Known by locals as "Up Top" and "Down Under," these courses have earned quite the reputation among frisbee-flinging enthusiasts throughout the region.

New to disc golf? The Up Top course might be your best bet with its more open baskets and forgiving layout. Looking for a challenge? Head to the Down Under course where trees, elevation changes, and scenic views create a more technical experience. Both courses are well-maintained and frequently host tournaments and events.

The courses are popular, with players visiting throughout the week, making it a notable disc golf location in the Kansas City metro area.

Planning a family reunion or birthday celebration? The park's pavilion can be reserved for gatherings and comes equipped with multiple grills plus water and electricity hookups.

You'll come across public restrooms with running water (though be aware they don't have lighting at night), and picnic tables scattered throughout the grounds for impromptu lunches or snack breaks.

The park also offers drinking water facilities and a dedicated grilling area - great for those summer cookouts when the apartment balcony just won't cut it.

Visitor Information

The park welcomes visitors daily from 6AM to 12AM, giving you plenty of time to enjoy all it has to offer. You'll come across ample street parking as well as a dedicated parking lot, however you might want to watch out for occasional broken glass in the parking areas.

Feel free to bring your four-legged friends - the park is dog-friendly with plenty of space to roam. Just remember to clean up after them and keep them under control.

One quick heads-up: if you're entering from Mission Road, take extra care. The entry has poor visibility with traffic coming up the hill, so it's worth being a bit more cautious when arriving or heading home.
