Location and Overview

Cherokee Park is a 3.5-acre neighborhood park located in Overland Park, Kansas. The park serves as a recreational space between the Glenwood Estates and Cherokee Hills neighborhoods.

Recreational Amenities

The park provides a variety of outdoor amenities for local residents and visitors. It features a playground area for children, complete with swings, offering a safe space for young ones to play and exercise.

For sports enthusiasts, there is a basketball court available on a first-come, first-served basis, with no fee required for use.

Connectivity

In 2023, the City of Overland Park completed a trail project connecting Cherokee Park to Meadowbrook Park via a 10-foot-wide trail along 91st Street.

This addition not only provides a pedestrian link between the two parks but also offers safe access from adjacent neighborhoods to the Metcalf Avenue retail area.
