Tucked away on Old Hammond Highway, this park managed by BREC (Recreation and Park Commission for the Parish of East Baton Rouge) serves Tara Subdivision residents and Broadmoor neighbors.

A few years back, the park got a much-needed facelift as part of BREC's "Imagine Your Parks" initiative. What makes this renovation special is that it actually incorporated feedback from the Tara Civic Association - proof that sometimes community voices really do make a difference.

If you're bringing the little ones, you'll appreciate the clean, well-maintained playground with modern equipment. The quiet setting allows you to keep an eye on the kids while resting in the shade.

Feel like getting some steps in? The paved walking trail stretches about 1.25 miles through the park, winding under mature trees that provide ample shade. It's well-suited for morning jogs or afternoon strolls when you need to clear your head.

Sports enthusiasts haven't been forgotten. There's a nicely refurbished ball field where you can play baseball or other field sports, plus a tennis court if you're in the mood for a match.

The park includes a modular skate park with equipment that's popular among local skateboarders. If you're into remote-controlled vehicles, you might even spot people racing them here when the skaters aren't around.
