Old Morse Park
About Old Morse Park
What's Here
Tucked away in the Cambridgeport neighborhood of Cambridge, Massachusetts, Old Morse Park (also called David Nunes Park) is a refreshing pocket of greenery that got a major facelift in 2013. The result? A delightful community space that works for pretty much everyone, whether you're looking to break a sweat or just enjoy some fresh air.
There's a full-size basketball court that doubles as a street hockey space when needed. If you're into something a bit different, check out the outdoor ping-pong tables - just remember to bring your own paddles and balls! Kids (and let's be honest, adventurous adults too) will love tackling the rope web and navigating the obstacle course, well-suited for burning off some energy.

Take a Break or Play All Day
Need to catch your breath? The park features a large swing set where you can sway while watching the action, plus picnic tables that are ideal for an impromptu lunch or gathering with friends. One of the nicer touches here is the thoughtfully designed seating areas that offer comfortable spots to relax without feeling like you're sitting on standard park benches.
What's particularly nice about Old Morse is its location - right in the heart of Cambridgeport, it's easy to get to but somehow still feels like a calm retreat from the city bustle just a few blocks away.

Community at Its Core
The 2013 renovation really emphasized creating a space for everyone. You'll notice how the park accommodates different ages and abilities, with safety clearly in mind throughout the design.
As a neighborhood green space, Old Morse Park offers both active recreation and peaceful relaxation - whether you're shooting hoops, playing ping-pong, or simply enjoying a quiet moment on a sunny afternoon.
