Recent improvements to Barry Park include the addition of a splash pad, installed in 2022 as part of a multi-year phased investment substantially funded by a PARC Grant. This brightly colored splash pad with interactive elements offers a refreshing retreat during hot summer months.

The park also features new accessible pedestrian connections, enhancing its usability for all community members. Additionally, a stormwater management project is being designed and installed at the northern edge of the park by the parking lot to help reduce flood impacts.
