Nestled within a residential area, Cherry Hill Park is that cozy neighborhood retreat you've been looking for when the hustle of everyday life gets too loud. About the size of a football field (plus a bit more), this charming green space offers a peaceful escape without having to venture far from the city. Keep an eye out for the massive walnut tree standing sentinel near the road - it's basically the unofficial greeter of the park.

Play & Leisure Spots

The park strikes a nice balance between open spaces and actual things to do. Kids can burn off energy at the small playground, while winter transforms the park's slope into a delightful sledding hill where you'll hear the squeals of joy echo across the neighborhood. Nature enthusiasts will appreciate the chance to spot local wildlife going about their day.

There's a picnic shelter meant for family get-togethers or just hanging out with friends, but you'll need to bring your own tables and grills as these aren't provided - consider it BYOP (Bring Your Own Picnic-ware).

Paths & Open Spaces

If you're looking to get those steps in, the park's walking trail offers a pleasant route that locals frequent. The generous grassy areas provide plenty of room to toss a frisbee, practice yoga, or let your leashed furry friend explore new smells (while you handle the cleanup, of course).

River Access

One of Cherry Hill's tranquil spaces is its access to the Grand River via a boat launch ramp. Kayakers and canoeists will appreciate this entry point to the water. What's particularly thoughtful is that the boat launch is wheelchair accessible - making river adventures available to more people. There's also a dock, however it's seen better days.

A word of caution: despite how tempting the river might look on hot days, swimming isn't recommended due to potential bacteria levels that nobody wants to mess with.

Though not sprawling in size, Cherry Hill Park manages to pack in quite a variety of activities in its quiet setting, making it a versatile cozy park away from downtown's commotion.
